A semi-decentralized control architecture for high-mix-low-volume factories in Industry 4.0

چکیده
Industry 4.0 introduces a shift towards more decentralized planning and control architecture in order to combat the changing production environment. Hence, this paper presents semi-decentralized for high-mix-low-volume industry improve control. The proposed consists of three components: ERP system, global unit, shop floor planning. system’s performance is improved through better use knowledge creation virtual manufacturing cells on floor, allowing case uncertainties or changes within product mix volume.

Semi-decentralized Strategies in Structural Vibration Control
In this work, the main ideas involved in the design of overlapping and multi-overlapping controllers via the Inclusion Principle are discussed and illustrated in the context of the Structural Vibration Control of tall buildings under seismic excitation. A detailed theoretical background on the Inclusion Principle and the design of overlapping controllers is provided. Overlapping and multi-overl...
متن کاملSystematic procedure for leveling of low volume and high mix production
The application of conventional leveling approaches is limited to large scale production. This paper presents a systematic procedure for leveling of low volume and high mix production. It employs clustering techniques to group product types into product families. After that, a family-based leveling pattern is created which describes a repetitive sequence of capacity slots considering all famili...
متن کاملComparative approaches to equipment scheduling in high volume factories
Mail processing and distribution centers (P&DCs) are large factories that accept, sort, and sequence mail in preparation for delivery. A central problem in these facilities is how to schedule the equipment over the day to ensure batch production under tight equipment and workforce constraints. The problem falls into the general category of multi-level lot sizing and is notoriously difficult to ...
